Vintage Danish Teak Ottoman / Stool by Hugo Frandsen for Spøttrup, Denmark, 1960

About the Item

A beautifully crafted Danish teak ottoman designed by Hugo Frandsen for Spøttrup Møbelfabrik, Denmark, circa 1960s. This elegant piece showcases everything that makes Danish modern furniture so desirable: clean lines, solid teak construction, exceptional craftsmanship, and understated functionality. The gently curved upholstered seat provides comfortable seating while the warm teak frame displays a rich grain and beautiful patina developed over decades. Originally designed as a matching footstool for a lounge chair, this versatile piece can also be used as an occasional stool, vanity seat, bedroom bench, or decorative accent in a Scandinavian or mid-century modern interior. The underside retains the original maker's mark: "Made in Denmark – Spøttrup", confirming its authenticity. The stool is in overall good vintage condition with normal signs of wear and age.
