Early 19th Century Swedish Gustavian White Painted Settee Bench

About the Item

The enduring beauty of Swedish styling is timeless in this lovely gustavian settee. Note the delightful carved details include swags and tapered feet of the base. We have layed new linen fabric over the old to give buyer an idea of how simply updating the upholstery will create an elegant sofa for today's modern home (fabric is not attached). The white painted finish adds to its charm as well. The bench has been restored and waxed so it strong, stable and ready to be used and enjoyed. Any nicks, scratches, signs of wear/distress are a relfection of years of use and do not detract from the beauty nor function of the bend.
