About the Item

An highly recognizable dining / side chair designed by Gilbert Marklund, manufactured by Furusnickarn AB in Sweden around 1960. This is a hard to find piece that is an iconic piece of mid-century Scandinavian design! Originally in red, this piece has been repainted in white. There are some user marks that reveal the original red colour. The perforations in the base and backrest add nicely to it’s modern style and makes it an interesting piece from every angle, that could fit in many different kinds of decors. It remains in good, vintage condition with some wear consistent with age and use, preserving a beautiful patina.
