Near Pair of Chinese Qing Dynasty 19th Century Yoke High Back Decorative Chairs

About the Item

A near pair of Chinese Qing dynasty period yoke high back chairs from the 19th century, with carved aprons and side stretchers. Created in China during the Qing dynasty and showcasing slightly different dimensions, each of this near pair of decorative chairs features a tall back, topped with a curving rail while the central section presents a concave-shaped splat. The rectangular wooden seat is resting on four straight legs with carved scrolling apron in the front and side stretchers. The perfect contrast of shapes of the upper section, opposing the splat's concave silhouette to the convex lines of the lateral supports, combined with the warm patina, will make this near pair of 19th century Qing dynasty chairs a perfect decorative addition to any home, whether placed in a bedroom or foyer.
