Pair of restored Witco Conquistador tiki dramatic high-back chairs in original red fur. These chairs are absolutely wild in the best kind of way. The original red fur fabric has a thick pile. This bright red upholstery adds drama to the high-back, iron cladded, hand-carved chairs. These highly collectible and hard-to-find thrown chairs were born of the jet-set era. The 1960s was the golden age of air travel and Americans were absolutely fascinated with “Exotica.” Ephemera from exotic tropical lands around South Asia were all the rage and gave birth to an explosion of tiki motifs in popular American culture.

Authentic Eames chair for everywhere - a lovely complement to any dining room table or office, this chair’s curved plywood seat and back are designed to organically accommodate each sitter. They're connected to a light, streamlined steel frame with rubber shock mounts that flex to move with your body.
The 1946 Eames DCM chair was the abbreviated name representing the dining height (D) side chair (C) on metal (M) rod base. The chair was part of a small series of chairs and tables which effectively kick started the career of Charles and Ray Eames into notoriety.
History would soon coin the phrase ‘Eames Chairs’ largely based on the design and success of the first group of chairs including the DCM alongside the lounge version LCM as well as the wooden leg versions the DCW and LCW. The series were a result of a long-standing collaboration between Charles Eames and the Evans Plywood Company which had worked together, from the same location in Venice CA, throughout the war years.

KEM Weber (1889-1963) was a German-born architect and furniture designer. His birth name was Karl Emanuel Martin Weber but in 1914, he changed his first name to a less German sounding, 'Kem' when he became stranded in the USA after the outbreak of the First World War. Kem Architecture was part of the West Coast Modernist movement in America. His designs included many projects and products in Streamline Modern, a form of Art Deco design and architecture that was extremely popular in the USA and Europe in the 1930s. This style emphasized curved forms and long horizontal lines; it was the epitome of sophistication and modernity in that era. Oh man!! Just look at this awesome pair of BOBO accent chairs!! These Postmodern beauties were previously located in an architect’s office which is a bit ironic considering they were designed by German architect Dietmar Sharping for Dauphin Furniture! They were designed in the early 1990s for a sculptural seating program for Dauphin. Their ergonomic design with the undulating maple plywood back and bulbus seat is deceivingly comfortable. This pair is comprised of stunning red leather, natural maple backs, and polished aluminum feet. They would be fabulous in a sitting room, a den or office, or one on each side of a sofa or loveseat. They have so much personality and the possibilities are endless! We are in love with this pair of BOBO chairs...
