Pair of Spanish Early 18th Century Red Lacquer Chairs in the English Taste

About the Item

A pair of Spanish early 18th century red lacquer chinoiserie decorated side chairs in the English taste, manner of Giles Grendey. The shaped backs in between straight uprights, topped by a scrolling crest, shaped seats with fine caning, and exaggerated cabriole front legs. The backs show accession numbers, likely from the .....Museum. The chairs could be complimented by our red Lacquer desk, K_308 and / or our red lacquer mirror, M_334, both listed on our storefront.
