Original reddish-burgundy velvet/velour fabric has been professionally steam cleaned and looks great. No need to reupholster this vintage gem. First off, this fabric is striking. As if the Jack Lenor Larsen style material wasn’t amazing enough, the diamondesque parquet assemblage of textile is uniquely iridescent and textured, adding another layer of sexy 1970’s authenticity. Seat cushions are both channel stitched and tufted. This colossal 70’s 3-piece sectional will make you the irrefutable king or queen of cool. The loose cushions have maintained their density in both looks and support. This sofa looks like a Selig, but it's actually made by Aven Rich of Denver Colorado. Matching pair of lounge chairs also available and sold separately (see last pic). This incredible sofa was purchased new in Glasgow, Scotland in 1970. We acquired from the original owners who kept it in pristine condition. Designed by K.M. Wilkins for G-Plan of England, this line is appropriately named the "Tulip Group". Wilkins also designed the the well known Housemaster Chair, often misattributed to Ib Kofod Larsen. The "Tulip" design is demonstrated by the rosewood panels which are molded into curves that mimic a blossoming flower. Offered almost exclusively in teak, this rosewood set is truly a rare find. The rich, amber-red panels are perfectly complimented by the chrome hardware and velvet fabric. The luxuriously soft velvet is in amazing condition. The color is difficult to describe, but in our opinion, it's a cross between olive-green and taupe-brown.
