Danish Banana Sofa in Muted Teal Upholstery

About the Item

Banana sofa, fabric, stained wood, Denmark, 1940s This voluptuous sofa is based on a solid construction of round shapes and curvaceous lines. The seating area and the backrest are organically shaped and together with the absence of strict angles, the sofa attains a sculptural expression. The corpus is executed in a green to blue upholstery with classic webbing and rests on characteristic round feet. The piece shows traits of traditional furniture yet also has a contemporary touch. Please note that we advise reupholstery before use. This item contains threadbare upholstery with loose seams and stains. Reupholstery can be done before shipping by our experienced craftspeople in our own in-house restoration atelier. With high attention for the original, they make sure every piece contains its value and is ready for the many years to come.
