Large Mid-Century Modern Swiss De Sede DS600 full leather sectional "snake" sofa. A design by Ueli bergère, Elenora Peduzzi-Riva, Heinz Ulrich and Klaus Vogt for De Sede, Switzerland, 1972. There are 20 seating pieces and 2 end/arm sections total 22 pieces. Each piece has a zipper connection that allows for endless combinations. A sofa set with unlimited configuration possibilities - the upholstery segments can be joined together with zips, so that free-flowing mobile concepts are possible in addition to conventional furniture arrangements. Down soft upholstery for the legendary De Sede seating comfort. Purchased from the original owners in Austria (Baden) estate who ordered the sofa in the 1970s. Wear consistent with age and use. Leather is a good original vintage condition as well as age related marks and some patina on the leather. De Sede once started as a saddler's workshop in Klingnau, Switzerland. Slowly, the company widened their scope and committed themselves to transforming the best possible leather into seating furniture. In 1965 the family-run business grew into a professional company and their name was De Sede AG. De Sede products are detail-obsessed and are completely made and focused on the people who use them. Therefore, all the De Sede items are made out of the best materials which results in durability and comfort.
