French Mid-Century Modern Sofa / Day Bed by A R P & Blue Fabric

About the Item

An early French Architectural Mid-Century Modernist sofa / daybed by A.R.P. Atelier de Recherche Plastique and with a fabric color. The sofa / divan presents a pure 1960 architectural statement in its rectilinear, quadratric form and through the use of an exposed steel suspension system which support the cushions. The couch is composed of a long seat cushion. which is cantilevered over an open, black enameled steel frame. The 3 back cushions are supported by a black steel framework housing the same Blue color fabric back support giving this piece an architectural unity.
