About

Absolutely massive Howard and Sons Chesterfield sofa with three turned Howard legs on the front and unusually with three frame legs on the back. The stamp on the caster would indicate the sofa was made before 1890, and judging by the overall shape this is a good early one. This is one of the largest Chesterfields that we have seen at eight feet wide. The shape of this sofa is tremendous, it has the most generous arm curve, with a huge outstretching scroll arm and overhang all the way around,

English, circa 1880.

Measures: 8' wide max,
42" deep max,
27" high max,
15" high seat,
30" deep seat,
67" wide seat.
