Mid-19th Century French Giltwood Settee

About the Item

This gorgeous and suburb quality mid-19th century French settee features the original gilding on the wood and nicely detailed carving thru out. The settee is supported on cabriole legs with a shaped front skirt and padded arm rests. The brilliant blue striped patterned upholstery is in very good condition, and a later addition to the piece. It measures 49 ¾ in – 126.4 cm wide, 29 ½ in – 75 cm deep and 37 in – 94 cm in height with a seat height of 17 in – 43.2 cm. This beautiful sofa would make and outstanding focal point to a wide range of rooms and settings, for both traditional and contemporary decors.
