Late 19th Century French Louis XVI Style Marquise Two-Seat Carved Sofa

About
Louis the XVI style, high-backed two-seat French marquise sofa, circa 1880. Recently reupholstered in a Suede like Impala fabric, in a light brown color, which is easy to clean and very resistant. Feature antiqued studs secure the fabric in place to the frame. The marquise boasts very elegant detailed beads and leaf carvings with its original gilding and upholstered machete arms. The marquise stands on six beautifully rounded carved legs with six twists and are slightly tapered. The right ear has a small crack which has no incidence on the structural stability.
