George III Pair of Mahogany Window Seats

About

A rare and elegant George III pair of mahogany window seats, in the manner of George Hepplewhite; the raised scrolled ends, with moulded shaped supports, headed with carved, flower head, paterae. The bow fronted seats, on a shallow moulded edge seat frame, raised on fluted, square, tapering legs, headed with carved flower head paterae, which is repeated on all sides; terminating in spade feet. Provenance Lord Cromwell of Sprotborough Hall, Yorkshire (now extinct) Thence by descent, English, circa 1780. Good condition, upholstery used can be reupholstered to client specification Dimensions (ins) 36 wide x 16 deep x 27.5 high.
