Lounge chair model 110 in teak and fabric, by Illum Wikkelsø for Søren Willadsen, Denmark, 1950s. This well-designed armchair shows an unusual elegance and great eye for detail, combined with outstanding craftsmanship, which is characteristic for the work of Illum Wikkelsø. The organically shaped wing back chair has excellent comfort, which is emphasized by the luxurious curved arms. Due to the wingback the chair provides a pleasant shelter for its user. The solid wooden base runs smoothly along with these lines and is positioned inwards, which creates a floating character. Beautiful wood-joints are visible on the legs. This chair is upholstered in a liver-colored suede look fabric. The upholstery is in good condition, with some traces of use on the top of the inside back.
