PAIR 19th Century French Gothic Revival Trunks ~ Blanket Chests
About the Item
PAIR 19th Century French Gothic Revival Trunks ~ Blanket Chests is a truly unusual find! Perfect for the foot of the bed for a pair of twins, they can also be used in dormer window niches, or for adding symmetry anywhere in your decorating plan. Hand-crafted from solid old-growth oak, each features a solid plank top with beautifully hand-carved edging in a shell demilune motif. Tops open up on hinges in the back to reveal substantial storage within. The three facades are beautifully carved with Gothic inspired motifs mixed with corner corbels topped with likenesses of the Lord and the Lady of the Manoir. Literally carved from top to bottom and everywhere in between, the design creates visual appeal from all angles.
