Danish Modern Modular Oak Bookcases by HG Furniture, 1970s. Set of 6. Scandinavian Mid-Century Modern set of six bookcase modules in oak. Designed by Rud Thygesen and Johnny Sørensen for Hansen & Guldborg/HG Furniture in the 1970s. Each individual module has two adjustable shelves. The modules can be stacked and flipped as desired. Backings clad with wonderful original hessian/burlap fabric. Simple but elegant design finished in light Nordic white oak veneer. Suitable as a shelving system in the living room, office or library. Each box measures (DxWxH): 36 x 101 x 51.5 cm. Very good original condition with patina consistent with age and use including light scratches and a couple of chipped back corners.
