Large Pine Belle Époque Bookcase or Buffet from Bohemia, c. 1880

About the Item

From Sudetenland or present-day Czech Republic, an exceptionally handsome and well-crafted pine bookcase or cupboard with beautifully articulated carvings. Offers carved, arched and glazed upper cabinet doors over two convex and fluted drawers, with two lower cabinet doors decorated with elaborate, raised panels. Turned columns with carved capitals flank top and bottom doors with fluted astragal on each center. Original antique glass panels, nickel key plates and pulls. Bohemia, circa 1880. It is rare to find a piece of this caliber executed in pine! Note: You should always request a shipping quote.
