They offer a reasonable flat-rate fee for delivery and set up to the ground floor of your home. They deliver to the vast majority of the lower 48 states. They offer a flat rate for most of our items with exclusions for the largest or most complex items such as breakfronts or crystal chandeliers or other items of greater complexity. Most deliveries to the East Coast will be 295.00, to the mid-west and Southern mid-west 395.00. To the areas west of Kansas 495.00 and the farthest points to the West coast will be 595.00. Again, some areas we can't cover, however we can deliver to most of the lower 48 states so please inquire to be sure! Delivery times range from as fast as 1-4 weeks for the east coast to 5-9 weeks to the farthest areas of the west coast, sometimes longer and sometimes even shorter. This incredibly unique French bibliotheque is made from carved Oak and dates to the 1800s. Measuring exactly 9 1/2 feet tall and 92 inches wide and boasting some intricately carved woodwork, this piece makes a strong visual impact. We have it displayed as a bookshelf or bibliotheque, but it can also function as a vitrine, or glass enclosed display cabinet. One of the unique aspects of this piece is the contrast between its strict rectilinear lines and the ornate Rococo doors and carved overdoor area. Above the center of the doors is a large curled leaf in the shape of a shell. This element is surrounded on each side by an S-scroll shaped leaf and a festoon of foliage. An arch-shaped transom envelops the entire large cartouche, which is in turn flanked by triangular panels inset with foliate carvings. Moving down below the central foliate shell, we begin to see the shaped foliate carvings which correspond to the movement of the top of each door. The thick upper moldings of each door are composed of opposite scrolls, asymmetrical in size and design, but symmetrical in form. From the top of each door, and centering the top of each glass panel, emanates large Rocaille carvings. The lower section of each door has a fan-shaped curled acanthus leaf carving, embellished with a shell and acanthus finials. Behind the glass sits five adjustable shelves lined with ochre yellow fabric. The rectangular-paneled sides meet the highly carved front in the form of rounded columns with fluting. There is a rectangular panel of foliage that bisects the column near the stepped crown. The removeable doors sit on iron hinges and have brass Rocaille (curled leaf with small pebbles) lock plates.
