About the Item

"TT³" is a single bookcase, designed by Ron Gilad and manufactured by Adele-C, featuring a structure in extruded steel th. 0.31" x 0.31" square sections welded and varnished in pearl gray or matt black colors, supplied with adjustable feet. It can host up to 9 rectangular shelves / trays, made of plywood th. 0.39", Italian walnut veneered and with moulded perimeter edge, connected to the metal structure by means of magnetic pins. Wall attachment is recommended where possible. The price shown refers to a TT³ single bookcase provided with two shelves / trays. DIMENSIONS: D. 13.8", W. 13.8", H. 70.8" (steel structure) - D. 13.3", W. 21.2" (rectangular shelf / tray) Each tray can be loaded up to 33 lbs and can tipically accomodate books, collectible magazines, some objects or pieces of design and travel memories. TT³ steel structure bookcase is a real masterpiece of Italian design and technology. It actually goes beyond the classic concept of a bookcase and becomes a peculiar, unique and original piece of furniture ready to give a creative and airy touch to any space. This bookcase is a design compendium of lightness, flexibility and innovation: there're no real compartments or closed shelves where you can store your precious books but the idea of a defined space mostly persists. TT³ bookcase is provided with Italian walnut veneered shelves / rectangular trays which perfectly integrate themselves into the steel structure thanks to a very simple magnetic system. It's possible to connect many steel structures together through shelves in order to create a virtually neverending bookcase system, or, depending on your space available, you can choose all the modules you need to give rise to innovative compositions. RON GILAD (Tel Aviv 1972) is an Israeli-born designer who aims to disorder the boarders between functionality and abstraction. His hybrid creations combine minimalism and humour, defy reason and are yet absolutely practical, showing his talent in using materials with an aesthetic play. His works deal with the relationship between the object and its function, questioning our perceptions. He accentuates perspective with his sculptural shapes and graphic lines that tend to infinity an play with the environmental space. In Italy he works with companies such as Flos, Adele-C, De-Castelli, Dilmos, Salvatori, Nodus and Molteni&C. His works appear in solo exhibitions, such as the one in Tel Aviv Museum of Art, and in numerous collective exhibitions. They are part of the Israeli public collections and abroad such as the Museum of Modern Art and the Metropolitan Museum in New York. In 2013 he received the Wallpaper Design Award (Designer of the Year; Best Domestic Design) and Elle Décor International Design Award (Designer of the Year; Furniture Design). ADELE-C collection, including and extending the legacy of the well-known Cassina brand, consists of pieces of design indifferent to passing fads and ready to show new paths for interior design. Adele-C collection is typically ready to naturally adapt to any space, as its sobriety in style and quality of materials are simply perfect to enrich any room in a refined way.
