About

Beautiful meuble d'entre deux 'à hauteur d'appui' in mahogany.
Impressive gilded and chiseled bronze decorations while still being restrained. Façade opening to a drawer decorated with statues playing horns and two doors, one of them bi-fold.
It is topped by a 4cm marble brocatelle, which gives it a nice volume... Stamped by Henry Dasson and dated 1879 in bronze, and twice on the back of the cabinet with iron.

Henry Dasson (1825-1896), first received training in bronze before taking over from the cabinetmaker Charles Winckelsen at 106 rue Vieille du Temple. He specialized in the reproduction of 18th century royal furniture. He was praised by critics, awarded at every exhibition in which he participated, including a "Grand Art Award." Thanks to the quality of his cabinets and bronze, his furniture began to attract a wide international clientele.
