Late 18th Century Georgian Oak Cabinet / Cupboard

Late 18th century oak cupboard, The top part has two doors with fielded panels. The lower part has four drawers with brass handles. The cabinet has a beautiful old and shiny patina with a beautiful warm red color. The interior of the cabinet consists of many spacious compartments with shelfs and a central divider. This cabinet can also display your beautiful collection by leaving the doors open. The cabinet consists of two parts. Made in England, around 1780-1790.

The cabinet has three aluminum painted panels with fishes. Created and signed and dated (1966) by Hubert Minnebo (Belgium, 1940). The cabinet has 3 doors. Left and right are glass sliding doors. The cabinet has onea key, which fits on all three doors. The condition is good, except for a few missing pieces of wood veneer. The video shows the veneer flaws. The painted panels are made of anodized aluminum. It is a technique that aluminum is anodized, the aluminium panel can absorb aniline color pigments; these are color pigments that are dissolved in acetone or dimethyl formamide. This requires smooth work, comparable to painting a fresco, where correction of errors is not possible.
