19th Century Chinese Red Lacquered Cabinet. A beautiful 19th Century Red Lacquer Gilt Painted Qing Dynasty Cabinet. Early 1800's a wonderful piece from Shanxi Province. The warm worn cinnabar red lacquer has a spectacular patina of 180 plus years. A decorative statement piece having warm colors with hand gilt painting and excellent storage. This cabinet will be spectacular in any setting. Makes a fantastic dry bar cabinet as the shelfs have good height for bottles and serving. In very good original rustic condition as pictured. Pieces of the thick lacquer coating have been worn off, seams and gaps open and close creating cracks in the lacquer over its life revealing a rich history of usefulness.
