Sophisticated Oak Church Tabernacle Cabinet

About the Item

Sophisticated, respected and solid Tabernacle remaining from a Church. Completely made in oak, only the door is made of solid steel. A tabernacle is a fixed, locked box or cabinet in which, in some Christian churches, the Eucharist was "reserved" (stored). This one is empty of course. The upper side is standing on a matching oak pedestal. The shape of this Tabernacle is beautiful with original woodcarving in excellent condition. The Tabernacle is built solidly, much like a safe. It has a steel front door with a simple lock that is opened with a key. The door is also nicely decorated. This is a unique one off piece in excellent and original condition from the 1920s.
