French 1790s Walnut Buffet à Deux-Corps with Glass Doors and Carved Motifs

About the Item

A French walnut buffet à deux-corps from the late 18th century, with glass doors and carved motifs. Created in France at the end of Louis XVI reign, this walnut buffet à deux-corps features a molded cornice sitting above two doors adorned with carved foliage-themed motifs, and scrolling accents surrounding glass panels. These doors open to reveal inner shelves offering great display opportunities. The lower section showcases two smaller wooden doors opening to additional shelves great for storage (please note that the objects seen in some of the photos are not included in the sale). Resting on cabriole feet and adorned with carved scrolling foliage and rosettes, this French walnut buffet à deux-corps circa 1790 will bring a great presence to any dining room or living room.
