A pair of French Empire bookcases / China cabinets. Ebonized side pillars with brass capitals. Gilt appliques to top and bottom front. Beveled glass doors. Each base incorporates a slide out drawer and 2 adjustable shelves. Each cabinet is in 2 parts. Quality construction using 3 different woods. The interior shows a rosewood construction. The top cap has a figured walnut front edge. The top doors are an exotic wood resembling a satinwood. Made by the " Bethlehem Furniture Mfg Co. PA.
