Pair of Continental 19th Century Neo-Classical St. Walnut and Fruitwood Cabinets

About the Item

A striking and large scale pair of Continental early 19th century Neo-Classical st. Walnut and ebonized Fruitwood cabinets. Each cabinet is raised by four elegant walnut bun feet below a straight frieze with a single drawer decorated with an ormolu keyhole escutcheon and set on a superb background showcasing the stunning wood grain. At the center is one door also displaying a beautiful wood panel framed within a unique and richly carved wrap around fluted wave like band and displaying a lovely foliate ormolu keyhole escutcheon. The door is flanked by columns leading up each side and opens to reveal the finished interior, three shelves, and all original hardware. The sides display beautiful Walnut panels with the wood grain continuing over the mottled base and up to the impressive top crown.
