About
Great and sophisticated Dutch teak modular wall unit with a large, foldable, table or desk element. This well detailed wall system was designed by Dutch designer Louis Van Teeffelen and produced by WeBe. During the 1950s and 1960s WéBé produced more Scandinavian inspired furniture, with the organic lines and the lighter, more transparent designs. One of the more iconic and collectible designs are these modular wall systems with the black uprights and the brass rods/ up-hangings.
The modular unit contains 1 large (folding) table (or desk) element with lots of storage compartments; one cabinet with sliding glass doors and one smaller storage unit with folding down door, and 4 shelves. The teak wooden, high quality, veneered elements are in excellent condition, the uprights are in great vintage condition, with some light traces of use conform age.
The brass rods slide in the upright and can be placed on any height. The system is completely modular, and the elements can be placed in any variation. The wall mounting plates for the uprights are included in this set.
