Extraordinary, rare baroque chest of drawers from the 18th century in South Germany. Elaborately made around 1760, this one of a kind Baroque commode impresses with amazing looking, beautifully nutwood surfaces and artfully crafted marquetry works. The drawers, all veneered in fine nutwood, show gorgeous fields of burr walnut which build a fantastic contrast to the lighter nutwood around. All sections on the drawers show additional inlayed plumwood frames. Adorned by artfully made brass fittings, the three cambered drawers can be locked separately with the still original locks and offer much storage space. Another highlight of this baroque commode are definitely the unusual designed feet. An absolute breathtaking masterpiece in a nowadays really hard to get cubature, which ornated restoration took us a lot of time. This unique piece of baroque furniture was part of the inventory of a manorial household in Bavaria and shows best the amazing skills of the carpenters from a long gone epoch. A valuable, perfect sized 18th century baroque chest of drawers coming in perfect restored condition. Not only a real eyecatcher, much more, this is also a very smart investment for the future.

    An absolute masterpiece of mid 18th century Italian craftsmanship is this unbelievable artfully crafted marquetry chest of drawers out of Milan. Made around 1760 with highest attention to details, this one of a kind museum-quality commode is not only a precious item of antique furniture, much more it is a real smart investment. The very time-consuming restoration of this masterpiece took us more than 9 weeks and has been done by our most experienced master of restoration. The ultimate goal was it to restore it the old way to keep the unbelievable charme of this valuable 18th century dresser. With an age of more than 260 years, this remarkable rare chest of drawers comes with an elegant shaped body made of spruce and poplar, elaborately set nutwood/ cherry veneer and incredible marquetry works all over this unique italian commode. Providing two large drawers, this outstanding 18th century dresser is adorned by fantastic looking, inlayed depicitions of women surrounded by extensively designed round frames made of maple, nut and plum wood. The largest depiction on the front even runs over both drawers. The top plate is an absolute highlight, impressing with this amazing worked 3D-effect frame made of fine ebony, maple and plum wood which looks like a spiral. The same design has also been used on the front of this precious chest of drawers. The second frame with a slight green shine has been additionally surrounded by thin maple threads. Other exceptional 3D effect maple inlays in form of chain links can be found on both sides of the front pilasters. This exceptional "chain" effect is reinforced by so-called "Schwarlot" paintings - a technique which confers it this special depth.
