Chippendale Chest-on-Chest

About the Item

Chippendale chest-on-chest, Classic British country tall chest (chest-on-chest), circa 1770-1780, in English oak with later brass hardware and expected wear, patina and wood shrinkage. Original (or early) thick mahogany veneer in band across top under crown. Note: Original/early finish on antique and vintage metal will include some, or all, of the following: patina, scaling, light rust, discoloration, and corrosion. Regional differences in humidity and climate during shipping may cause antique and vintage wood to shrink and/or split along its grain, veneer to loosen and/or peel, and painted finishes and gilt to crack and flake.
