German Baroque Chest of Drawers

About the Item

This is a good example of a German serpentine-front inlaid walnut and Circassian walnut chest of drawers that dates to the first half of the 18th century. The smaller proportions of this chest make it comparable to an english bachelors chest. The figured inlaid walnut and banding combined with the serpentine form and bun feet add to the decorative value of the chest. This charming chest would make a wonderful bedside table or sofa side table. The graphic nature of the inlay would provide the perfect counterpoint to contemporary design. ***Please contact MJH Design Arts for very competitive shipping quotes to the East Coast and South.
