About the Item
An Italian pair of nicely sized fruitwood chests from the turn of the 18th and 19th century. This pair of antique cassettiere (Italian for chests of drawers) from Italy each features a rectangular-shaped top, over a decoratively raised paneled case, designed in clean lines, which houses a pair of full-sized drawers. Each raised-panel drawer is adorn with a pair of ring bail pulls with a matching escutcheon set at center. The chests are presented upon square tapered legs. The fruitwood has a luxurious medium tone, with a lovely, warm patina. These antique Italian chests, nicely-sized at over 4 feet in length, will make a fabulous pair of decorative storage and display pieces, perfect for your bedroom or living area.
