About the Item

Designed by Jack Van Der Molen, this pair of dressers was made by the Jamestown Lounge Company for their Americana Casual line. Unlike nearly every mass-produced cabinet from this era, these cabinets are made of solid oak throughout. This is typically a difficult, time-consuming, and therefore, expensive process. Each plank used had to be dried, stabilized, and very precisely machined to come together to the dressers you see here. There's a certain magic to solid wood furniture. The drawerfronts, each machined of a single plank, are a joy to use, and the legs, also solid oak, are extremely durable and sturdy. With each cabient featuring 5 large drawers, this pair will suit nearly any environment. You'll love them. In very good, near excellent condition. These cabients have undergone a thorough restoration. Each cabient and drawer was painstakingly stripped down to bare wood, and sanded to a smooth finish. Two finishes were applied. Once with a dense white to fill the pores, and another golden oak to add color and warmth. Finally, a tinted clear was applied to provide excellent protection and durability. This restroation blends modern material science with classy mid-century design. You'll love everything about these dressers.
