About the Item
A vintage pair of nicely inspired French neoclassical style raised chests, American made by furniture makers Auffray & Co (NYC). This pair of French style commodes each feature rectangular-shaped tops with profiled corners, atop a case which houses two full-sized drawers with nicely carved accent trim and Neoclassical hardware. Fluted carvings adorn the canted-front, and back side posts, continuing onto the squared spade legs. A ribbon carved accent further embellishes these pieces along the bottom of the skirt at three sides. These Auffray & Co. Neoclassical style chests have a custom bleached finish with champagne color accent trim.
