18th Century Swedish Gustavian Grey/ White Painted Commode/ Chest of Drawers
About the Item
A lovely Swedish painted chest of drawers in oak with dental molding along ridge of top and half-corner columns extending from original turned feet to underside of molding. Has original brass pulls & key plates, with original locks and one original key. Pegged mortice and tenon construction with plank-bottom drawers. Later grey/white paint in the Scandinavian pallet. Sweden, late 1700's. Drawers function well and can be opened and closed without the key.
