Each with a single pull-out drawer above a single hinged door opening to reveal a single moveable shelf. These beautiful pieces are raised on four turned tapering supports, complete with their original well veined cream marble tops Condition: Superb condition with no losses, no evidence of repairs, both drawers are very smooth to use.     A fine Louis XVI style gilt bronze mounted mahogany commode, in the manner of Martin Carlin, attributed to Henry Dasson. The lockplate signed to the reverse 'Duvivier, Paris'. The design for this elegant commode is taken from the celebrated lacquer model by Martin Carlin delivered in 1785 to Madame Victoire, daughter of Louis XV, for her use in the 'grand cabinet' at the Château de Bellevue and today in the collections of the Louvre (OA 5498).
