Antique 19th C Swedish Bombe Walnut Chest of Drawers

About

A stunning Swedish 19th century walnut bombe shaped chest of drawers with ormolu mounts. Of fantastic colour and design this antique Swedish chest of drawers dates to circa 1860 having a serpentine shaped top with decorative parquetry style walnut veneer work enclosed by a crossbanded and moulded edge. The top sits over three beautifully shaped drawers with original gilt ormolu rococo style handles and escutcheons each having crossbanded and moulded edge with chests bombe shaped sides also having decorative veneer work. Raised on splayed feet with gilt ormolu mounts and sabots and shaped apron this quality antique Swedish chest of drawers is of stunning shape and form in showroom condition boasting a beautiful faded walnut colour which can only be achieve of a chest from this period. Having been restored and waxed polished using traditional methods this chest of drawers will work in any setting both contemporary and traditional.
