Early 18th Century French Regence Dore Bronze Bombe Commode
About the Item
A handsome French Regence bombe four-drawer commode with dore bronze hardware, escutcheons, and trim. Two small drawers above two large drawers with key. Drawer fronts have intricate herringbone inlay all around. The inlay continues on two panels on each side. The dore bronze is applied on the front legs, lower middle decoration and side uprights. Sitting on splayed bracket feet. Topped with a cream, gray, and beige shaped marble top (as found) of the period.
