We are delighted to offer for sale this stunning original period circa, 1825 flamed mahogany with Lion hairy paw carved feet American Federal Philadelphia chest of drawers What can I say, a truly stunning chest from any angle, the colour and patina of the timber is so rich and warm it is simply to die for, I promise you the new owner of these drawers will admire it every single day from any angle American Federal and Empire antiques from mid and north Atlantic seaboard cities such as Boston, New York, Philadelphia and Baltimore can be really well crafted and beautiful examples of cabinetry in the world market from 1810-1840 Condition wise is lightly restored and period original correct, we have deep cleaned hand condition waxed and hand polished it from top to bottom, there are naturally chips and scratches in the veneer, a little carving loss to the feet and the original keys are missing for the locks, I can have new keys made for a small fee, the whole piece can be fully restored by our cabinet maker to include all veneers tidied and then French polished top to bottom, should the new owner wish please enquire for a price, personally I prefer my antiques in antique condition, it shows they are the age they should be Dimensions: Height 87 cm Width 124 cm Depth 60 cm Please note all measurements are taken at the widest point. Condition: Please view the very detailed pictures as they form part of the description around condition Please note vintage period and original items such as leather seating will always have natural patina in the form of cracking creasing and wear, we recommend regular waxing to ensure no moisture is lost, also hand dyed leather is not recommended to sit in direct sunlight for prolonged periods of time as it will dry out and fade.
