Regence to Louis XV Transitional Provincial Commode, Circa 1720

About the Item

The carcass of beechwood and the drawers ,possibly butternut or poplar. A marvelous patina and stunning color. Deliciously distressed. Warm. Apparently original gilt hardware, most gilding worn .Appears to be original hand hewn marble. Strong provincial feel with a deliciously distressed appearance. Sturdy. In fine shape but distressed from its original appearance. The first (primary) and last photos are best, most true color wise. No key . Structurally sound and highly decorative. Evidence of previous pest ,particularly to feet and surrounding area .
