About the Item
A very handsome birch Karl Johan Biedermeier chest of drawers with a drawer front fold down secretary. The drawer-front opens to an ample and beautiful ebonized and faux mahogany interior offering two letter drawers flanking the central cubby, which are again flanked by three drawers on each side. Features three long storage drawers below desk, Sweden, circa 1830.
Working original locks and two keys, with French-polish finish.
Measures: 49 1/2" wide x 20" deep x 41" high (open depth 31 1/2")
