Brutalist Hand Hammered Metal Clad Credenza

About the Item

A fabulous vintage hand hammered credenza with plates riveted to a wood frame. There are 4 doors with 4 long handles. Each side has one shelf and the interior is painted black. The metal plates are riveted to the frame. The bottom and back have riveted metal plates attached as well. The credenza or sideboard has great patina to the metal surfaces. The hinges appear to be bronze. The doors open and function but “catch” a little on the bottom and need to be lifted a tiny amount to open. This is due to the raised hand hammered section on the bottom. The piece has a raised plinth that it sits on. Very much in the style of Paul Evans Brutalist pieces of the 1960s and 1970s. In good condition with some flaws inherent to the unique hand crafted nature of the pieces and some minor marks to the metal surfaces. There is some minor marks to the black interior areas as well. Please see the detailed photos.
