    An Italian carved and painted wood credenza from the 18th century. This antique cabinet from Italy has a rectangular-shape, with front corners convexly scalloped inward, giving this piece a lovely shaped. The case houses a pair of smaller sized drawers set horizontally at top, above a pair of recessed panel doors at front. The skirting is heavily molded, and this chest is raised upon carved bracket-style feet which give open arch-shaped designs at the underside. The pair of doors open to reveal storage within, and flank a recessed panel at front which is adorn with a carved garland hanging downward within its center. This piece retains its original hand-painted faux-marble finish and gilt (with some later touch ups), primarily in shades of amber, orange, red, green, and cream. This 18th century Italian...
