19th century American Victorian Walnut Cupboard
About the Item
Very ornate walnut cupboard with three shelves with glass doors on the upper case. On top, the cornice features a reticulated crown with carved flowers and leaves, and elaborate finials on either side. Additional low relief carved curlicues adorn the center raised wooden circle. A serpentine carved embellishment is seen on the flat surface of the top of the upper case below the shelves. Both the upper and lower case have partially reeded columns on the sides terminating into a scroll on a raised base. The bottom doors open to reveal two drawers with brass pulls and two shelves. Both the upper and lower case handles are of green cut glass mounted on brass and are original to the piece. See measurements below.
