19th century French cabinet wine liquor greek key walnut regency sideboard.
Direct from France, a superb 19th century cabinet with outstanding Greek influenced carvings and elements throughout!
Four oversized, carved Corinthian columns frame the cabinet, creating a stunning silhouette. Classic Greek Key carved design abound, on the crown moulding, door panels and side panels.
Elaborate carvings include Greek mythology face medallions on front and sides. Note a hidden drawer below the double doors!
A very impressive and versatile cabinet, excellent for a wine or liquor cabinet, perfect for use in a dining room, and equally suitable as a bookcase/display cabinet with the open lower area!
Quality throughout with dovetailed drawers; well built by craftsmen of the period, circa1890. (Cabinet is stamped on the back with French maker’s name, from Lyon & Nice).
Measurements: 58.25” height. x 47.5” x 20.25”.
