About the Item

American Hepplewhite birch fall front desk with carved hinged molded edge top, fitted interior consisting of seven drawers over seven pigeon holes, with a leather writing surface. Lower case has Satinwood string inlay, mahogany cross banding, four graduated lower case drawers, original brasses, and terminating on carved scalloped skirt with original feet. Early 19th Century. .
