Wimbledon-Furniture Wimbledon-Furniture is delighted to offer for sale this very rare original 12 drawer 2 cupboard Georgian Campaign mahogany luxury premium twin pedestal partner desk with dark leather writing surface and gold leaf embossed edges Please note the delivery fee listed is just a guide, it covers within the M25 only, for an accurate quote please send me your postcode A very good looking and substantial late Georgian to early Victorian desk. The leather top is period cattle hide leather, its gold leaf embossed around the edges, the the main body is all light mahogany and the pedestals sit on period oversized porcelain castors, the desk has campaign style handles either side of the top, I've only ever seen them once before in this style on a Gillows of Lancaster desk These desks are called partner desks, they were designed for two “partners” to use in law firm, or perhaps the boss and a secretary We have cleaned waxed and polished it, there is a key included however I haven't checked the locks.
