17th Century Long Oak Dresser Base

About the Item

A stunning late 17th century narrow solid oak farmhouse dresser base. Rectangular moulded planked top above 4 drawers with brass handles, above a pair of doors, flanked by 2 large oak panels all standing on a plinth base. Warm rich colour and patina! The oak boasting a rich depth. This is an extremely heavy, hard and rugged piece. England, circa 1690. Exceptional quality!! A charming piece with good colour and large proportions. The dimensions are: Height: 99cm (39.0in) Width: 278cm (109.4in) Depth: 40cm (15.7in) A stunning piece of solid country farmhouse or cottage early antique furniture. The dresser base, counter or buffet in solid oak remains structurally solid and sound. In good condition throughout.     An impressive, unique and monumental late 17th century Dutch oak and walnut cupboard or kussenkast. Made of walnut on solid oak. The architectural shaped moulded cornice with shaped frieze. Above two doors with geometrically rectangular panels set with moulded cornices, flanked by square pilasters with carved capitals, above a set of three lion’s masks carvings.
