Royal House Antiques is delighted to offer for sale this sublime circa 1860 Antique Victorian Burr Walnut Library bookcase with Steeple top made in the Gothic Revival taste

The bookcase is exquisite, deigned for a library but naturally it can sit anywhere, it is finished in Burr Walnut which is rare for an antique piece, the timber is absolutely golden and simply glows in the right light. The shelves are all removable and or height adjustable so it can take any size book, the piece comes complete with the original key which operates the locks, they are very old so they have some character but work fine
Condition wise we have deep cleaned, hand condition waxed and hand polished it from top to bottom, they will have normal age and use related patina marks here and there but honestly to me it look gallery perfect for the period
The top comes off for ease of transport so you have two main sections
