About the Item
An elegantly proportioned chest by James Mont, circa 1940s, USA. The chest with two deep drawers features an solid oak frame with original dove grey leather drawer fronts mounted with heavy cast bronze hardware in a twisted braid motif. The drawer interiors are fitted with various removable trays for jewelry etc. In excellent condition, finish restored, leather and bronze original.
